Yesterday, Ghpage.com reported a story about a 10-year-old orphan who gave birth to baby girl at a hospital in Benue State, Nigeria.
Outraged by this news, social media users took up the case to the police station and the police promptly began investigations leading to the arrest of a suspect. The suspect is an 18-year-old identified as Terna Taga.
Terna Taga allegedlly defiled the little girl who risides in an internally displaced persons camp in Benue State, Nigeria.
DSP Catherine Anene of the Benue State Police Public Relations Office speaking to the media in Makurdi on Wednesday disclosed that Taga was arrested on Tuesday evening and was in custody for further investigations.
She said;
”The command will decide on the next line of action after full interrogation and investigation into the case,”
The news of the young girl’s heartbreaking pregnancy is very tragic, she was dumped in a General Hospital by an unknown person whilst heavily pregnant.
