Police confiscate 2 trucks of rosewood belonging to another Chinese man

The Tamale Regional Police has seized two trucks of rosewood which is believed belongs to another Chinese National.

According to the reports, the truck was from Tumu in the Upper West region and belongs to a Chinese man called Mr Hu.

It was also reported that Mr Hu is an associate with the female Chinese who was recently arrested for transporting rosewood lumbers illegally, Helen Huang.

Helen Huang was arrested in Tamale conveying four trucks of rosewood from Tumu in the Upper West region of Ghana through Tamale to Tema in the Greater Accra region.

43-year-old Helen Huang was arrested at the Vittin Barrier in Tamale but insisted she had all legal documents enabling her to transport the woods.

She was later granted bail but according to the Northern Regional Police Crime Officer, Supt. Otuo Acheampong, Helen Huang has gone missing.

Helen Huang who is believed to be the sister of Aisha Huang (Galamsey Queen) refused to show up at the police station after her release.

The Northern Regional police have therefore filed an application before the Tamale High Court to declare Helen wanted for breaching her bail conditions.

However, it is believed that Helen Huang has intentions of leaving the country to go back to China.
