The Inspector-General of Police James Oppong-Boanuh has ordered for the immediate interdiction of the two police officers that were captured in a viral video torturing a young man for allegedly stealing 1,600 cedis.
The two police officers stationed at the Railway Police station in Koforidua have been relieved of their duties after the video went viral.
“The Inspector-General of Police has directed the immediate interdiction of General Sergent Patrick Amoako and General Lance Corporal Isaac Marfo both stationed at the Railways Police Station at Koforidua”, an excerpt of the statement read.

This comes after two police officers identified as General Sergent Patrick Amoako and General Lance Corporal Isaac Marfo were captured in a video torturing a young man for allegedly stealing money belonging to his boss.
The police officers attacked the young man with a belt demanding him to confess and the man in tears pleaded that he was innocent.
