Ghpage.com reported last Saturday that ace broadcast journalist, Captain Smart of Adom FM has been arrested at the National Delegates Conference which was held at Koforidua in the Eastern Region of Ghana. He was there to report on activities from the delegates conference.
At the time of our report, Captain Smart had been released on bail and was going about his activities in a professional manner. In fact, many even doubted if he had even been arrested as reported by many media houses at all.
Well, the police have finally cleared the air on it. In a radio interview, the PRO of the police service revealed that the media personality together with 3 other men were picked up upon intelligence gathered for wielding unauthorized guns, teaser pepper spray, and others.
The police officer explained that when the officers were arrested, the National security who were present to protect the president of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo was in attendance took over the case.

They subsequently granted the bail to Captain Smart. The situation is currently being investigated by the National Security to determine the next course of action to take.
