Policewoman and 3 kids confirmed dead in gas explosion at Ablekuma

Sad reports reaching Ghpage.com indicates there has been a gas explosion at Ablekuma Fanmilk, a suburb in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

The incident occurred on Sunday, January 5, 2020, when the family had just returned from church and was about preparing food. The gas explosion claimed the lives of a 45-year-old Policewoman by name Inspector Kate Abban together with her three children.

According to eyewitnesses reports, the deceased family was on their daily house chores after they returned from church that faithful Sunday of the incident. Reports say a 21-year-old young gentleman by name Emmanuel Agyei in the quest to save her mother fell a victim to the explosion together with his younger siblings who by that time of the explosion were in the house.

A sister by name Sarah of the now-deceased policewoman the late Inspector Kate Abban said the deceased was rushed to Korle-Bu teaching hospital to receive medical attention together with the 3 kids but all couldn’t survive it few days after the explosion. She gave this information on Adom Fm’s Dwaso Nsem.

Joyce Abban
Ebenezer Abban
