Politicians don’t care about us; they are in for personal gains -Sarkodie

Ghanaian hip hop artist Micheal Owusu Addo popularly known as Sarkodie has criticized politicians and the ruling party for being silent about the sufferings of its people

According to the award-winning rapper, politicians do not care about the people that voted them into power but are only interested in amassing wealth for themselves.

The ‘Bibiiba’ hitmaker took to Twitter to criticize politicians for not sacrificing for their people.

He wrote; “Reason I don’t follow our political parties: I think as soon as they get in power, they change! Personal gains become the order of the day … No one is ready to sacrifice long term for the people and it’s sad”.

This is not the first time Sarkodie has jabbed politicians over the poor state of the economy and bad living conditions of Ghanaians.

Sarkodie in 2014 released a song titled ‘Inflation’ directed to the then Mahama-led administration.

He released the song due to the erratic power supply in the country, the depreciation of the Ghana cedi and the increased rate of corruption within government.
