Another Ponzi scheme offering 12.5% interest weekly pops up

Before even the dust from menzgold troubles settle down, another clear Ponzi scheme rears its head and is offering even outrageous interest rate than one could ever imagine.

According to a report sighted on MyNewsGh.com, the new Scheme called Winchester Profits Capital also claiming to “trade in currencies, commodities, and volatility indices 24/7”.

Here is the shocker, they are offering 12.5% interest weekly on deposits. One will equally take away the whole deposit plus 50% interest if left to mature for 28 days.

Winchester Profits Capital is currently offering members of the general public interest of 12.5% every single week of their investment, and so far, MyNewsGh.com’s investigations have revealed more than 2000 Ghanaians have subscribed online while more are expected to join as testimonies grow.

The company has begun recruitment of youth from Accra, Kumasi, Tarkwa, Ho, Cape Coast and Obuasi asking would be recruited who want to be considered as agents to send letter and CV to [email protected]. MyNewsGh.com is keenly following this.

Meanwhile, Winchester Profits Capital, like Menzgold, claims to “trade in currencies, commodities, and volatility indices 24/7”. They also claim to have “the most flexible pricing and the most comprehensive suite of products available.”

A quick check on their boosted social media pages reveals they have posted fake registration documents to convince the public they are genuine, while a picture of an honor presented at the University of Makerere in Kenya has been edited with Ghana’s Coat of Arms by the officials of this new company to deceive the public. They claim the picture was taken when they received their official license to trade.

While they have weekly interest payment arrangements mostly via the internet, they also have rates for those who keep their money monthly.

Their website has some information to rap their victims: “When you invest with Winchester Profits Capital, you can be assured that your deposits are held in a separate trust account and are not used for any other purpose. And you receive your initial deposit with an additional 50% interest as a total profit of your investment after 28 days.”

While MyNewsGh.com’s checks at the Registrar Generals and the Securities and Exchange Commission revealed Winchester Profits Capital has neither been registered nor licensed, their communication says otherwise.

“We are fully registered and licensed under the laws of Ghana and those investing with is have no cause to be afraid. We are here because we understand the lack of confidence in the financial system. I can tell you we are properly registered” an officer responded to a query on Facebook.

“Anyone can make investments using our perfected investment programme. Immediately you invest with us, you partake in the profits of our daily trades. Our world-class trade experts never miss a chance of good trades daily which would be evident in your investment account with us as your profit. The interface is so easy to use that even someone with zero experience can figure it out. We help our clients earn money on the volatility of the Finance market. Today, this is an industry with a market capitalization of over $24,130,654,120.32” information on their website had claimed.

So far, searches about the names of the members of the team as reported on their website show they just picked random names and random pictures from the internet to portray as the management team of the Winchester Profits Capital which MyNewsGh.com believes is a Ponzi scheme.
