The family of the late Asante Kotoko supporter, Pooley, has appealed to Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to reconsider his decision to provide a lifetime scholarship to all six of Pooley’s children.
According to the family, only two of the six children are Pooley’s biological children.
In a recent interview, members of Pooley’s family disclosed that the late Kotoko fan was not the biological father of four of the children.
They claim that Pooley’s widow, Gifty, had four children from a previous relationship before meeting him.

As a result, the family insists that Otumfuo’s scholarship offer should be limited to Pooley’s two biological children, especially since the father of the other four children is still alive and capable of supporting them.
Pooley’s biological mother’s younger sister confirmed this in the interview, saying,
“Gifty already had four children when she met Pooley. Due to Pooley’s new affair with Gifty, Ann left Ghana for Cote d’Ivoire alongside their two kids. Unfortunately, she later died after succumbing to illness.”
The family is therefore urging Otumfuo to reconsider his sponsorship to ensure that Pooley’s biological children receive the full benefits of the scholarship while the other four children receive support from their rightful father.
