A 30-year-old pregnant bride suffered a stroke on her way to the marriage ceremony and later passed away at the hospital.
The bride identified as Jessica Victor Geudes who was six months pregnant with her first child complained of a pain in a neck on her way to the wedding grounds.
Jessica collapsed in the limo that was taking her to the venue and her husband Flavio Goncalvez who is a former firefighter performed first aid and later rushed her to the hospital.
According to the groom, Jessica appeared healthy prior to the wedding before passing out few minutes in the limo not far from the church.
“I was waiting for the woman of my life. She was a super mother, giving her life to our daughter. It’s been hard. I feel like I’m living a nightmare”, the groom disclosed.
It was revealed that she suffered a stroke as a result of pre-eclampsia, a sudden rise in blood pressure that can occur during pregnancy.
Doctors performed an emergency C-section on Jessica to save the 29-week old baby who will be staying in the hospital for three months because she was born prematurely.
