Hawa, the pregnant survivor of the gruesome accident that occurred along the Kintampo-Tamale Highway accident on Monday morning that claimed at least 30 lives has broken silence on how the accident happened.

The accident occurred when a Yutong bus reportedly collided with a mini Sprinter bus with registration number AS 1801-18 on the Kintampo-Tamale Highway at dawn in the Bono-East region.
The woman giving an account on the accident said the Kumasi bound Metro Mass bus immediately caught fire when it collided with the Sprinter bus.
“We were traveling from Bawku to Kumasi when all of a sudden a 207 bus (referring to the sprinter bus) crashed into our bus. both vehicles immediately went up in flames,” Hawa narrated.

Hawa revealed in the interview in tears that she lost her 12-year-old son when the car she was in a caught fire.
From reports gathered, six survivors including Hawa are reported to be currently receiving medical treatment at the Kintampo Government Hospital.
