The Ghana Education Service has for some years now been advising teachers to desist from giving out corporal punishment in schools.
But looks like all this have fallen on deaf ears as a new video fast gaining ground on social media sees the assistant headteacher of the Prempeh College in Kumasi lashing a student mercilessly.
In the video, the assistant headteacher identified as Mr. Gyimal is seen beating the hell out of the student whose crime we are yet to know.

The Ghana Education Service [GES] in a statement signed by Director-General of Ghana Education Service, Jacob A. M. Kor, once warned teachers to desist from corporal punishments in both public and private schools in Ghana.
The Service is of the firm belief that there are different ways by which pupils or students could be punished, citing, for instance, giving students assignments to do while their mates are playing during break time among others.
