President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo has issued an order banning all his appointees from embarking on any foreign trip.
In a letter released and signed by the Chief of Staff, Frema Opare, the first gentleman of the land, explained that his decision to place a ban on his appointees’ trips is to avoid disruptions in government activities.
“The President of the Republic has directed that, all foreign travels by Hon. Ministers, Deputy Ministers, MMDCEs and Heads of Government Agencies be temporarily suspended with immediate effect.” The letter said.
However, the one person who is free to travel is the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
“The Hon. Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration is however exempted from this temporary ban on foreign travels,” it said.
