President Akuffo-Addo has sent a word of sympathizing to the entire Asante Kotoko Team after their fatal accident which occurred Wednesday evening at Nkawkaw.
Unconfirmed reports place the death toll @2 with several others injured.
President of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo has shared his heartfelt solidarity with the victims of the fatal car crash involving playing and non-playing bodies of Ghana football premier team, Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
In a post in his Official Tweeter handle, the president expressed how saddened he felt by the news and sent his “heart” to those who were injured wishing them a speedy recovery.
The accident is believed to have been caused when the driver of the Asante Kotoko Team bus rammed into a slow motion bus that was loaded with rice.
The Assistant coach of the team has been discharged but would have to walk with the assistance of crutches for a while due to his condition.
The support from the president comes on the heels of high-profile personalities showing their support and solidarity to the team including former President John Dramani Mahama, Captain of the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan, GFA, GHALCA, PLB and various club teams in the country.
