The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo has invited the coach of the BlackStars and the Normalization Committee to the Jubilee House over Asamoah Gyan’s resignation.
This comes after the captain of the Senior national team, Asamoah Gyan announced his retirement from the team on Monday 20th April 2019 via Twitter.

According to sources, Asamoah Gyan retired from the team over disputes he had with the Coach of BlackStars over his captaincy.
Asamoah Gyan, through a press statement revealed his decision to retire from the team amid other factors.

However, reports reaching Ghanapage.com indicates that Turkey-based midfielder, Andre Dede Ayew has been named as the substantive Ghana captain to lead Ghana to the 2019 AFCON Tournament in Egypt next month.
This will be the first time Andre Ayew will be captaining the senior team permanently after leading the Black Satellites in 2009 to win the FIFA World cup held in Egypt.
