Professor Mrs. Rita Akosua Dickson has been appointed the Vice-Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology by the University’s governing council.

In a four year term beginning on August 1st, 2020, and ending July 31st, 2024, the ex-pro vice-chancellor will be charged with the promotion of quality higher education and the provision of academic and administrative leadership.
Professor Rita Akosua Dickson holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and MParm in pharmacognosy at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
According to a statement signed by the Secretary to the council, Mr. Andrews Kwasi Boateng, the decision was taken at the university’s 258th (special) meeting held on Thursday, June 25, 2020.
The incumbent Vice-Chancellor is the first female to be appointed for the position in the University’s long history and will be replacing outgoing Vice-chancellor, Professor Kwasi Obiri-Danso who was appointed in 2016.
