SHOCKING: Rabies dog eats 5 children at Keta in Volta Region

Natives of Kedzikope and  Tegbi communities in the Keta Municipality are now living in panic after a stray rabies infested dog went wild devouring 5 children in the process.

This incident is reported to have happened on Tuesday evening, November 13, 2018.

The 5 victims who are now covered with severe body injuries are confirmed to be currently on admission at the intensive care unit of the Keta Municipal hospital in the Volta Region.

Officials from the hospital disclosed that the injuries of some of the victims were to the extent that they had to be stitched and as well as given full rabies treatment to save them from dilemmas.

Speaking in an interview with the Keta Municipal Health Director, Ms. Titiati Perfect explained that the situation is currently under control but said they are monitoring the conditions of all five victims to prevent any unfortunate condition.

Though the dog on headline for this story is still strolling around, radio announcements have been made for everyone to be on scout and alert for the dog while its description is still unknown.

The community members, the health directorate and the police in their ability have mounted a search for the dog before it causes any further injury to residents.
