The then rapper who is now a gospel musician called ‘Call Me Nazareth’ revealed that he went mad for almost two years after consulting a fetish priest to help him make it when he was a rapper.
In an interview on Joy News, he stated that he was then a Rastafarian when he started out as a young rapper at Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region.
After several attempts without a breakthrough, together with his long-time friend decided to find a shortcut to success.
According to him, they booked an appointment with a fetish priest but not knowing, his friend had agreed with the fetish priest to offer him [Nazareth] as a sacrifice, so that he will be successful.
“The guy and I were very good friends so we wanted to come out with a joint album and after the album, we’ll go our separate ways….After we poured the blood on, the fetish priest spoke many words to encourage us.”
“But this fetish priest and my friend changed to speak a language I couldn’t understand. It was an unknown language,”He said
He added that, he started having spiritual attacks after the encounter with the fetish priest. He eventually went mad and in 2009, he met a man of God he called Oluman that he got healed of the madness.
He added that it is after his deliverance that he got to know what transpired between the fetish priest and his friend— Which was to use him as a ritual sacrifice for the benefit of his friend.
He changed his name to ‘Call Me Nazareth’ after his deliverance and ventured into full-time Gospel ministry.
