Early Life

Joselyn Canfor-Dumas was born on 31st August 1980 in Ghana and spent her childhood in Accra. She is regarded as one of the prettiest and talented celebrities in Ghana.

Education

Joselyn has her basic education at Morning Star School and then to Archbishop Porter Girls High School for her secondary education where she was the Entertainment Prefect.

Joselyn further went to the United States where she studied to earn a degree in Administrative Law.

TV Career

The award-winning actress was practising law in the United States until she relocated to Ghana to follow her dreams of becoming a television presenter.

In 2008, Kofi Okyere Dark(KOD), a television presenter and a close friend to Joselyn took her to Charterhouse where she hosted Rhythms, an entertainment show, which saw her interview many celebrities.

She co-produced Miss Malaika, a GTV reality beauty contest which held from 2008 to 2010 and later hosted The One Show which aired from 2010 to 2014.

Joselyn is currently the host of a new Tv talk show keeping it real with Joselyn Dumas which is aired across Africa and parts of Europe.

Joselyn Dumas career started with her impressive role in “PerfectPicture” which made her acquire more major roles.

She rose to fame two years later in the movie “Adams Apple” by Shirley Frimpong-Manso which got her nominated for Best Actress at the 2011 Ghana Movie Awards.

She has acted alongside prominent Ghanaian and Nigerian finest actors like John Dumelo, Majid Michel and OC Ukeje. Some of her movies include Perfect Picture, Silver Rain, V Republic, Lekki Wives, Adams Apple, The Cartel, Peep, Love or something like that and many others.

Philanthropy

The curvaceous and talented actress believes in giving back to society especially when children and women are involved.

She established the Joselyn Canfor-Dumas Foundation which seeks to address the needs of vulnerable and needy children from all backgrounds and regions of Ghana.

The main focus of the foundation currently focuses on children with autism.
