Ghanaian award-winning rapper, Kwaw Kese has cautioned people, specifically fellow artistes who are obsessed with buying expensive cars to rather invest in better and profitable ventures like buying buildings and lands.
The rapper however stated that he regrets buying expensive cars of which would have been profitable if he had invested the money for buying those cars into other profitable things.
Kwaw Kese was speaking in a self-recorded video and he bemoaned how people who do not own houses but are renting, jubilate when they purchase a car.
He described that in 2008, he bought a car for $20,000 but in these times, it is worthless, adding that if he had invested that $20,000 into a business, he would have reaped a lot by now.
“Many people buy big cars to showoff but silently they are actually battling with financial constraint. I will advise that invest your money in real estates because the price will shoot up after some years while for the cars, their price keep coming down” he advised.
Kwaw Kese reckoned that if you buy a car today, the value may drop in a few years but if you buy a house and re-sell at a higher price, you would have made some profit.
According to the ‘Dondo’ hitmaker, he has resolved to stay frugal with his finances and invested his money in the right places to reap the results in the future and he admonished his fans to do the same.
