The multiple award-winning Dancehall artist and the label he signed to, 2 years ago had been at loggerheads since his fiercest rival, Shatta Wale was signed to the label. A move, Stonebwoy clearly was unhappy with.
Stonebwoy joined Zylofon Media in June 2017. Months later on 31st January, the record label signed the biggest rival of Stonebwoy, self-acclaimed Dancehall King Shatta Wale on 31st January 2018.
Many questions were raised about why Stonebwoy was having issues with Zylofon Media after the signing of Shatta Wale. A trusted source of Ghpage.com revealed that not only was Stonebwoy not informed when Shatta Wale was being brought on board as courtesy demanded, it was in the contract Stonebwoy signed with Zylofon Media that besides him (Stonebwoy) no other Dancehall artist will be signed unto the label.
But Stonebwoy in an interview with Delay on the Delay Show debunked those allegations stating that there was nothing like that in the contract claiming he was ok with Zylofon bringing on other artists.
Asked whether he has ever regretted signing unto the label due to issues he had with the company, Stonebwoy it has never been a regret but it has rather thaught him some lessons.
He further stressed that since Zylofn Media was a new company, it would definitely take some time before things get going for them since the inception of every business is always not easy.
