Businessman and Chief Executive Officer of MenzGold Nana Appiah Mensah, popularly known as NAM 1 has disclosed that he has never regretted investing in the entertainment industry.
This comment was made at the press conference held at the M&J Grand Hotel in East Legon, which is aimed at addressing the general public most especially customers who have investments with Menzgold.
According to NAM 1, he has no regrets investing in the entertainment industry since it was a business decision. He reiterated that he is a businessman who believes it takes time for businesses to yield benefits and so his investments will bring the desired benefits at the right time.
It can be recalled that NAM1 was accused of allegedly defrauding 16,000 customers of more than GH¢1.68 billion between January 2017 and September 2018.
He was also charged with two counts of abetment to defraud by false pretense and two counts of abetment to carry out banking business without a license, contrary to Section 6 (1) of the Banks and Specialised Deposit-taking Institutions Act, 2016 (Act 930).
