I will release the car after I get my money-Maurice Ampaw tells NAM1

Controversial private legal practitioner Maurice Ampaw has promised to keep the car he was given by CEO of Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah until he receives his money.

According to the outspoken lawyer, he will only return the car to Nana Appiah Mensah if he receives his locked up cash.

He added that he filed the documents of the car in his name which prevented the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) from seizing the car.

Maurice Ampaw also added that most of his relatives invested huge sums of money into the company and are patiently waiting for their monies.

“I am keeping the car because he owes me. When the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) tried to seized the car, I went to court and filed the necessary processes so I am waiting for him to pay me before I release the vehicle.

I am not using it and it is not the vehicle I am looking for but my money. I want everyone to officially know that lawyer Ampaw is a proud customer of MenzGold. My cousin as well invested GH¢520,000 whiles my wife invested GH¢200,000, cumulatively making GH¢920,000″, Maurice Ampaw disclosed.

Nana Appiah Mensah is currently in police custody after he was arrested on 11th July 2019 upon his arrival in Ghana after he was detained in Dubai for several months.

He was arraigned before court and charged with operating a bank without license and defrauding by false pretence.
