Ace Ghanaian DJ and radio presenter Ohemaa Woyeje has recounted the bitter experience she went through after failing to give birth one year into her marriage.
“After a year and a few months, I became pregnant. my first year without a pregnancy. If I were to be really honest with you about what I went through.
“Some have even said that I lack a womb. You are aware of our nation. Just one year, please.”
Aside from the humiliation from friends and family, Ohemaa Woyeje shared that the pressure kept mounting on her every other day.
At a point she had to forfeit celebrating her first wedding anniversary because she had not brought forth a child, she had not made society happy.
Speaking about why she left Multimedia Group, Ohemaa Woyeje said she did not want the maltreatment she was receiving at the media house to affect the health of her pregnancy.
People asked me, “What is she celebrating? ” when I said that I was going to commemorate my first wedding anniversary. I hadn’t given birth, therefore. There are others who have been married for ten years without having a child. only one year
