Veteran RnB singer Angie Stone has died at the age of 63 following a car accident in Alabama, her daughter, Diamond Stone, has confirmed.
“My mommy is gone,” Diamond wrote in a Facebook post.
Per media reports, Stone was fatally injured when a van she was traveling in somersaulted early Saturday after a live performance.
The veteran musician, known for hits like No More Rain (In This Cloud) and Wish I Didn’t Miss You, had three Grammy nominations over her career. She started her musical journey in the 1970s as a member of the female hip-hop trio The Sequence, best known for their song Funk You Up, which peaked at 15 on Billboard’s Hot Soul Singles chart.
