‘I Was Robbed Of Artist Of The Year Nomination Because I Am From The Northern Region”- Fancy Gadam

According to the Tamale-based popular artist, Fancy Gadam, he was not nominated for the Artist of the Year category in this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards because he is from the Northen Region and not because he was not impressive this year.

According to the “Total Cheat” hitmaker Fancy Gadam, he performed far better than most artist nominated for the Artist of the year but because he is not based in Accra, he was neglected by the VGMA board.

Despite being nominated for a total of two categories in this year’s VGMA, Jamal, the manager of Fancy Gadam feels the artist deserved more.

“We were all expecting that Fancy Gadam will be nominated in the Artiste of the Year category because he worked hard in the year under review and had it all going well for him so we are wondering why he was not nominated in that category,” Gadam’s manager Jamal told Showbiz.

“The fans are more disappointed than Fancy Gadam himself, they feel it in their bone because they feel he is overqualified…If Accra was Tamale and Tamale was Accra, he would have had an upper hand, he would have been comparable to none,” he added.
