Former Brazilian playmaker Ronaldinho de Assis Moreira Gaucho popularly known as Ronaldinho has paid tribute to the late former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan.
Ronaldinho who shared his fond memories with Kofi Annan posted on his twitter handle “Go in peace, Kofi Annan (I.e.One of the great leaders I had the honor to meet. You have always reached out with compassion and empathy to all peoples. May he serve as an example for all rulers,” Ronaldinho’s tweet interpreted from Portuguese to English.

After news of the demise of Kofi Annan, several people have paid their respect with the two time FIFA Player of the Year Ronaldinho been the latest to share his message.
Kofi Annan was reported dead last week after battling with a short illness in Switzerland. Until his demise Kofi Annan was the fmr. UN Secretary-General from 1997 – 2006 where he handed over to South Korean politician Ban Ki-Moon.
