Two persons believed to have taken part in the Royal Motors daylight robbery some weeks ago in Accra have been arrested in Oda in the Eastern Region following some gun exchanges.
The two were part of a gang that allegedly trailed a bullion van to the premises of the automobile company to rob money and other valuables. Four persons were reported to have been involved in the crime, however, two of the suspects are currently in the grip of the police. The latest two to be arrested have been identified as Dormenyo Alfred and Felix Andy.

One of the suspects Alfred Dormenyo sustained a gunshot wound to his right thigh and was sent to the Oda Government Hospital for treatment after a shootout with the Police, whiles the other has been sent to the Oda Police station.
The two were reportedly spotted on board in a Toyota Highlander vehicle with registration number GR 8001-18, driving from Asamankese to Akim Oda.

The police found a flat screen television and other personal belongings in the car of the suspects upon a thorough search.

Armed robbery cases have been rampant across the nation in recent weeks, with some of the victims losing their lives in the process.
The government has, however, assured that it will do its best to equip the Police and other security services to fight the menace.
