The Parliament of Ghana will engage in an emergency meeting tomorrow, Sunday, January 21 to swear in the Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye as the President in consonance with the provisions of the country’s constitution.

The recall of Parliamentarians was done by the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament for the Speaker who is currently out of jurisdiction but will return later today.

This is as a result of president Nana Akufo Addo not in the country and the vice president has also been flown to the UK for medical attention after he was hit by illness.
