Very Sad: 5 young boys Jailed 150 years and Here’s what they did

It always pained me when people act contrary to the law and receive severe punishment, but you we cannot do anything about it as we are all under the law and protected by the same law.

FIVE ARMED robbers have been imprisoned for a total of 150 years with hard labor by the Ashaiman circuit court in the Greater Accra Region.

These robbers who were linked with a robbery case which took place at Zenu in the Kpone-Katamansu District was sparked with 30 years’ imprisonment for each by the circuit court, controlled over by Gabriel Mate-Teye.

The robbers pleaded not to be guilty to the two charges conspiracy to commit crime and robbery. But after almost a year-long trial, they were found guilty of the offensive activities and sentenced to 30 years imprisonment in each case, but all to take effect simultaneously.

The name of the convicts are Prince Tetteh Agormeda, 18, a commercial motorbike rider; Francis Kwasi,19, a bus conductor; Saviour Feda, 21, a conductor; Rashid Nurudin alias Torgbor, 20, a sprayer and Kelvin Baah,19, a commercial motorbike rider.

Explaining briefly to the media, the Ashaiman Divisional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Fleance Senam Adikah, narrated that on June 11, 2016, at about 1:30 am, one Stella Afedo who resides at Zenu, together with her daughter was attacked by the armed robbers at gunpoint.

On detail explanation by the commander, the robbers bumped into the victim’s 3-bedroom apartment through a back door of the kitchen and robbed the victim of her 42-inch Samsung television set, one Tablet mobile phone, and one laptop, all amounting to GH¢72,00, cash of GH¢600.00 and bolted.

Chief Superintendent Adikah further added that the convicts went to take a refuge after committing the crime until they were grasped upon a given information on August 5, 2016.
