Popular hiplife artiste and political activist Kwame Asare Obeng known in the showbiz circles as A-Plus has indicated that Ghanaians do not value legends in the Entertainment Industry.

According to Kwame A-Plus, several highlife legends passed away without receiving any honorary awards for their enormous contributions to the arts industry.

The musician who used to be a strong follower of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) stated that he is very sad that veteran musicians like Papa Yankson, Jewel Ackah, C.K Mann, and several others were not honored before they passed away.

“Ghanaians don’t value key players in the Arts Industry. I listen to songs from most of these music legends because there are moral lessons in their songs.

Every generation and what they prefer so I can’t conclude that in this our era, artistes aren’t doing what is right.

I was sad when Papa Yankson, CK Mann and Jewel Ackah passed away without any proper honourary”, A-Plus indicated.

Kwame A-Plus further stated that most of the songs recorded by these veteran musicians have moral lessons.

He also suggested that there should be a board that will ensure that some of these musicians are honored before they pass away.
