Sammy Gyamfi has defeated Fred Agbenyo to become the Communications Officer in the just ended opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) delegates election.
According to the announced provisional results, Sammy Gyamfi beat Fred Agbenyo who was the deputy communications officer by a spacious rim of about 4000 votes.

The handsome youngster used to be a spokesperson for past Kumasi Mayor, Kojo Bonsu and a member of Ashanti Regional Communications Team of the NDC.

He has several times served the interest of the NDC at various levels, from the student front to Regional and National offices.
Sammy was the President of the Tertiary Education Network (TEIN) of the NDC at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) from the year 2011 to 2012.

The provisional results show Gyamfi polled 6225 votes as against 2069 by Fred Agbenyo.
