According to Awal in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz Friday 1st February, though he was groomed by Sarkodie after emerging as the third runner-up of TV3’s Talented Kidz, he doesn’t see it as a big deal should Sarkodie sign him unto SarkCess Music.

In his assertion, signing Strongman, he felt happy for the then Kumasi-based rapper and cited that Sarkodie might have seen something extraordinary about the ‘Transformer’ hitmaker which pushed him to sign him(Sarkodie) and that gave him(Awal) the urge to work harder.
