Finally, the King himself has released his analytics from the music streaming giant, Spotify for the 2018 music year and as it stands now, he is the most streamed Ghanaian artists on the platform.
At the end of the music year, Sarkodie had 9 million streams of his songs on Spotify. He had One million fans listening to his music on the platform from 65 different countries. Sarkodie enjoyed 602,000 hours streamed by fans.

This places him ahead of all the artists in Ghana who have released their analytics from the streaming giant, Spotify so far.
Yesterday, Shatta Wale and Srakoide released their analytics and Shatta Wale was in a comfortable lead. Shatta Wale recorded 6 Million streams against Stonebwoy’s 4 Million on Spotify.

Wendy Shay, the fast-rising female songstress recorded 121,000 streams. Meanwhile, the veteran musician, Uncle Ebo Taylor later released his analytics and he recorded 8 Million streams. He was in the lead until Sarkodie just dropped his analytics.
In as much these streams seem impressive, they are very small compared to other artists from our neighboring countries such as Nigeria. Mr. Eazi, for example, recorded a whopping 163 million streams for 2018 music year on Spotify. Ghanaian artists can do better.
