Scenes from the Atomic junction gas explosion(Photos)

There was a gas explosion at the atomic junction at Madina Accra.Meanwhile, fire service personnel are on the ground working tirelessly to bring the situation under control.

Public Relations Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service, Billy Anaglate has confirmed that a gas tanker that caused the fire is still burning and there are about 5 fire engines on the ground to help in dousing the fire to prevent the tanker from the explosion.

However, more than 200 police personnel has been deployed to the area to direct traffic and provide law and order to the area.

Lots of Off-duty health workers at the 37th Military hospital have reported working to help take care of the gas explosion victims. God bless our health personnels.

Also, most of the injured people at the Legon hospital is responding to treatment but unfortunately, a few deaths have happened. The hospital is yet to give a definitive number of casualties.

PRESEC is currently conducting a roll call on all the 9 on-campus student dormitories to account for all students.As at 9:45 PM, the fire has been controlled by the Ghana fire service, only a few pocket of fires left to be put out.
