A piece of sad news that has taken over social media trends confirms the death of several students who perished in a gory accident.
As confirmed, the accident happened on the Aseseeso stretch between Adukrom and Somanya when a bus carrying students from Ben Kunadu SDA Basic School in Asante Akyem crashed and left several dead and many others injured.

The ill-fated bus, carrying 62 children on an excursion to Akosombo, reportedly lost control while descending a hill, somersaulted multiple times, and landed on its side.
The impact of the crash resulted in severe casualties, with some students trapped in the wreckage.
Eastern Regional Minister Rita Akosua Awatey, who was passing by at the time of the accident, immediately joined the rescue efforts.

She assisted in transporting some of the injured students to the Yilo Krobo Municipal Hospital for urgent medical attention.

Emergency response teams, including the Police, Fire Service, and Ambulance Service, swiftly arrived at the scene and are working tirelessly to retrieve trapped victims and aid survivors.
The exact number of fatalities has not yet been confirmed, as authorities continue their assessment.
