According to popular musician and SarkCess Music signee Gladstorm Kwabena Akawaboah, better known as Akwaboah in the music circles, his church pastor prophesied to him that his calling was to do secular music and not gospel.
In an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, he revealed that his pastor helped him in choosing secular music over gospel when he had earlier recorded both gospel and secular albums and was uncertain about which one to choose and pursue as a full-time career.

“The thing is that my pastor believes in everyone’s destiny; we all can’t be pastors; we all can’t be bankers. Initially, I wanted to do gospel songs so I did a gospel album but I also recorded a secular album so I was confused as to which side I should stand for,” he said.
“My pastor was prophesying… and he called me and told me that my calling was to do secular music,” he added.
Akwaboah who recently released ‘Matters of the Heart’, a 12-track album, also has a gospel song, ‘Worship (Medley)’ on the album.
It is believed that Akwaboah charges between GHS70,000 to GHS100,000 for each song he writes for Alicia (That is, 700 million to 1 billion Old Cedis for each song he writes).
