Shatta Wale’s manager, Sammy Flex, has finally clarified his artiste’s absence from the 40th birthday celebration of business mogul Richard Nii-Armah Quaye.
Addressing recent rumors, he dismissed claims that the SM boss was deliberately snubbed.
Contrary to widespread reports suggesting that Shatta Wale was not invited to the star-studded event, Sammy Flex clarified that the dancehall artist received an official invitation.
However, he revealed that Shatta Wale chose not to attend for personal reasons rather than being excluded by the event organizers.
According to Sammy Flex, Shatta Wale’s decision to skip the event was not influenced by any supposed tensions with other attendees, including Ghanaian business tycoon Osei Kwame Despite.

He explained that the musician had different values and priorities, which did not align with attending the gathering.
“The party was not for Kwame Despite, so he cannot tell us not to come,” Sammy Flex stated confidently.
This statement was to purposely dismiss any notion that external influences played a role in Shatta Wale’s absence.
The clarification comes after speculation arose that Shatta Wale had pleaded for an invitation but was ultimately ignored due to his rocky relationship Dr Osei Kwame Despite.
However, Sammy Flex’s remarks happen to set the record straight, affirming that Shatta Wale’s absence was a personal choice rather than a forced omission.
