The Accra circuit court listening to the case of Shatta Wale and Medikal has adjourned the case to 25th January 2022.
The adjournment of the case became very necessary after lawyers for both artists pleaded with the court to allow their client to travel out to perform at various events.
The legal team of Shatta Wale led by Jarry Avenorgbo prayed to the court that his client Shatta Wale has shows to play outside the country this Christmas and wishes the court could give him time to prepare for all those shows.
On the part of Medikal, his lawyer Pobbi Banson also prayed to the court for an adjournment so his client could also embark on a trip to perform at events during this Christmas festivities.
Background
Shatta Wale was arrested and detained in prison custody for faking an attack and deceiving the whole world that he had been shot by some armed men and currently receiving treatment in a hospital.
He is facing charges of causing fear and panic in the country.
Medikal on the other hand is also in court for brandishing a gun on social media and was picked up on the orders of the newly-appointed IGP Dr George Akuffo Dampare.
He was also remanded in prison custody for some days before he was finally granted a bill of GHC 100,000.
