In a recent report we made, Organizers of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Charterhouse said they were not sure whether Shatta Wale will be nominated for awards in the 2018 edition of the event.
Speaking at a press launch at Movenpick Hotel on Friday, 9th February, Theresa Ayoade, CEO of Charterhouse said a discussion was held with Shatta Wale’s management team concerning the inclusion of the artiste in the awards scheme asking that his management submit his works for consideration.

Charterhouse scheduled Saturday, March 3 as the date on which the list of nominees will be released.
The 19th edition of the Awards is scheduled to be held on Saturday, April 14 at the Accra International Conference Center with the release of the nominees as Shatta Wale has been nominated for the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).
Having been away from the VGMAs for some time now, Shatta Wale makes a comeback with a nomination of his hit song “Ayo” in the Hiplife Song of the Year.

He has to reckon with big forces like Fancy Gadam, Wutah, Nancee featuring Guru, Sarkodie’s, Captain Planet and Patapaa to win that category.
