Actress Yvonne Nelson who earned the name “Yaa Asantewaa” after staging her “Dumsor must stop” demonstration way back in 2015, has finally opened up and revealed that she actually slept in a friend’s house after the vigil.

According to the mother of one, though the demonstration was successful and achieved its goals she received life threating messages and therefore had to flee from her own house fearing the worse might happen to her.

She revealed that she started receiving threatening messages after she made her intention known and they were too much that she decided to move to a friends house for protection.

Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz she said: “I was sleeping in a friend’s house because the threat was too much”.

Host Andy Dosty wanted to find out from her as to why she failed in organizing another demonstration on “Dumsor” when the NPP came to power to which she said “Dumsor” under the NDC era was more intense than that of the NPP.

“I did the same thing by starting on Twitter, but the reason why I didn’t go further to organize the Dumsor vigil was that the NPP Dumsor wasn’t hot like that of the NDC,” she stated.

The long-legged actress also in the interview made it clear that her “Dumsor must Stop” vigil in 2015 had no political backing as some people on social media and some NDC people made it look.
