Social media users reacts to Mahama’s comments on recent road accidents

The former President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has expressed worry over the high rate of road accidents in the country.

According to the former President, the roads in Ghana have become killing fields which have claimed many lives.

The former president who also serves as the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) took to Facebook to share his sentiments.

However, some Ghanaians have shared their views over John Mahama’s comment on road accidents.

One Facebook user, Seth Appiah Sarpong stated; “In 2016 when Nana was talking about our roads you told him that he is asleep and now you are here talking about roads which have turned into killing fields”.

Najas Ali Hoticity also wrote; “Same roads were used during your regime, what did you do about it? Don’t be passing reckless comments to score political points…incompetent man”

Another social media user, Nana Amankwah stated; “Mahama talks as if he is now coming to contest for the presidency”

Chmsin Lievel also stated; “I taught you fixed all these roads before leaving power so why the complain now”

John Dramani Mahama’s comments come after two gruesome accidents happened on Friday 22nd March 2019 which claimed over 70 lives.
