Sofoline: Tears flow at funeral of 23-year-old student shot dead in his car [Video]

Kwabena Asumadu, the 23-year-old student of the Oyoko School of Dispensing Optics, who was shot dead by some unknown gunmen in Kumasi has been laid to rest.

This incident occurred Tuesday evening 19th July 2022 while he was returning to Offinso after he dropped off a friend at Sofoline at about 11 pm.

According to scanty information available, he was shot multiple times while driving an unregistered Mercedes-Benz.

Following Kwabena’s shocking demise, his girlfriend has been mourning his death in a series of videos uploaded to TikTok. Some of the clips show the bubbly young man in lovey-dovey positions with his woman.

Speaking in a self-recorded video she charged Kwabena’s spirit to avenge his death and expose his killers.

Kwabena, who is alleged to be a cyber fraudster, is suspected to have been killed by his partners in the online fraud business for hoarding their win.

He sustained gunshot wounds on his neck and head, Police say. The assailants, however, did not tamper with valuables in the vehicle.

Though no arrest has been made, police have commenced an investigation to arrest all persons involved. The body of Kwabena has been deposited at Komfo Anokye teaching hospital morgue for autopsy.
