Veteran gospel singer Stella Seal, formerly known professionally as Stella Dugan, has called out her colleague Obaapa Christy for billing her for an event with prior notice.
Apparently, Obaapa Christy has used the image of Stella Seal to advertise her upcoming concert to celebrate her 20-year-long music career on her social media pages without notifying the latter or her management.
In reaction to the highly publicized flyer circulating online, Stella disassociated herself from the program saying she “has no knowledge of such an event” as Obaapa Christy is yet to engage her services.
“We disassociate ourselves from the event and INSIST that the Management of OBAAPA CHRISTY do the needful,” her management warned in a statement.
“We would like to use this opportunity to urge anyone interested in engaging our services to go through the appropriate channels before proceeding to do any publicity.“

Stella also shared the poster in question on her Facebook page and labelled it as “fake” in red ink.
A quick check on the social media pages of Obaapa Christy shows she has pulled down the flyer after Stella’s public warning.
