An emotionless presenter – Stephanie Benson, Efia Odo And Sister Derby attacks Berla Mundi

Radio/TV presenter Berla Mundi has found herself in a great mess following her television interview with a rape victim on The Day Show program.

Berla Mundi shared a video of her interview with a rape victim where she narrated her unfortunate ordeal on her official Instagram page.

The rape victim who gave her name as Mawusi was raped by a policeman at age 16. Her parents agreed to settle the matter out of court by accepting an amount between ghc800 and ghc1000 from the rapist.

According to Mawusi, she never received medical attention even though she was visibly wounded from the act. In the course of the interview, the audience seated at the studio where the program is being aired burst into serious laughter.

The reaction from the audience(crowd) at the studio did not go down well with some celebrities who chanced on the video Berla Mundi shared on her page on Instagram.

The issue of rape from time immemorial has been a very delicate topic that is of great concern to all most especially women because they fall victim to the circumstance.

Due to the unkind reactions from the audience(Female Predominant), Female Celebrities like the UK based Ghanaian international singer Stephanie Benson, Efia Odo, Sister Derby, Lydia Forson and Yvonne Okoro have lambasted the host, Berla Mundi.

These female celebs took to twitter and Berla Mundi’s comments section of the rape interview video she uploaded to register their displeasure and tell her their piece of mind.

Angry and unhappy Stephanie Benson took to twitter venting out her utmost disappointment in the host for not being able to calm the audience down after they busted into laughter whilst a rape victim shared her ordeal.

In a Tweet she wrote;

African Mermaid Sister Derby joined in on Twitter blasting Berla Mundi for her unprofessional way of presenting. She registered her displeasure saying;

Efia Odo in full force fired Berla Mundi in a Tweet;

Lydia Forson also reacted to the issue in the uploaded video’s comments section. She wrote; “Wait why was the audience laughing? the entire narration was so uncomfortable to watch, it didn’t even seem like it was rape that was being discussed.

@berlamundi if indeed they were called to order, I would have hoped their laughter was edited out, it really just made a ridicule of the issue”.
