The 61st VGMA is still ongoing and so far some deserving artistes have been awarded for winning in their respective categories.
Stonebwoy who has won the Reggae/ Dancehall artiste of the year, shocked the audience and people watching on TV when he sent a shout out to his fierce rival Shatta Wale immediately after taking his award indicating indeed he (Stonebwoy) was the King of Dancehall in Ghana.

He said ‘ I know this will make you guys surprise, but biggups to my other brother ( Shatta Wale )
Shatta Wale was also nominated in the same category with Stonebwoy but the Bhim Natives clinched the award to the utter dismay of the SM’s.
Stonebwoy also acknowledged the presence of his godfather ‘Samini’ by telling the world he made him who he is today.
