Dancehall music in Ghana is gradually getting waves as the music genre has been graced by the likes of Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Samini etc whom we know is in that music genre.
Veteran highlife musician Nana Fynn has disclosed in an interview that most of the musicians doing dancehall music are unfit to be given that tag claiming Ghana has no authentic dancehall artiste as some people claimed that they are the Dancehall King.

He further indicated that not even the self-acclaimed Dancehall King Shatta Wale and boss of the High-Grade Family, Samini, qualify to be called dancehall artist.
He rather pointed Shatta Wale’s rival, Stonebwoy and dancehall diva MzVee as the only artist doing real dancehall.

“The only person doing something that I can call close to authentic Dancehall is Stonebwoy and a little MzVee,” the veteran highlife artiste said.
He also went on to admit his love for the Bhim Nation Boss and MzVee song “Come Over“.

Nana Fynn although a highlife artiste has stayed in Jamaica for a long time, and could speak Patios fluently since primary school, therefore he’s in a better position to give such judgements due to his experience.
