The founder and leader of Glorious Word and Power Ministry International, Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah has pleaded with Ghanaians to stop accusing the Director-General of the Criminal Investigation Department, Maame Yaa Tiwaa of the death of the Takoradi girls.

Owusu Bempah stated that Madam Tiwaa is not to be blamed for the death of the three girls adding that she was only acting on the information given to her.

The man of God further stated that the CID boss or the President of Ghana should be left out of this issue and deal with the matter at hand.

“We should stop accusing Madam Tiwaa of being the cause of the death of the girls. It is very sad to hear the death of the girls but madam Tiwaa was only acting upon the information she got at that time.

She didn’t kill the girls and so why do you blame her for that. We need to stop playing politics with the issue and leave Akufo-Addo out of the matter”, Rev Owusu Bempah stated.

This comes after the acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), James Oppong Boanuah confirmed the death of the three kidnapped girls.

A DNA test was conducted on the human parts found in a septic tank in the suspected kidnapper’s vicinity, which was later confirmed to be that of the kidnapped girls by the police.

The girls named Ruth Abakah, Priscilla Kuranchie, Ruth Love Quayson, and Priscilla Blessing Bentum went missing last year and all efforts to locate them proved futile.

One suspect believed to be a Nigerian was arrested in connection to the kidnap but no vital information has been derived from him.
