Actress Andrea Owusu, known in showbiz circles as Efia Odo, has charged Ghanaians to stop supporting political leaders who do not care about their plights.
The 28-year-old star cum video vixen joined dozens of Ghanaians who took to social media on Monday to vent their frustration at the government over the state of the economy after commercial bus drivers staged a sit-down strike to protest hikes in fuel prices.
The discomfort and difficulty in movement of persons following the drivers’ actions sparked nationwide outrage as many expressed disappointment in the Nana Addo-led NPP administration for making life unbearable for Ghanaians with failed promises.
In a tweet, Efia Odo, who was one of the campaigners of the #FixTheCountry movement, tagged the leaders of the country as Sheep in wolves clothing who peddle lies for their selfies interest.
According to her, most citizens vote for politicians who tout the message of hope and better living conditions but end up getting disappointed after voting them into power.
A disgruntled Efia Odo urged Ghanaians should stop voting for lairs and pretentious leaders who know nothing about their suffering.
“You can’t blame the people for voting for “hope”. These leaders come as sheep and end up behaving like wolves! Stop voting for liars and pretentious leaders who know nothing about suffering. We need to start engaging in conversation pertaining to our livelihood,” she tweeted.
