Students are not going back to school in September – Education Ministry

The Chief Director of the Ministry of Education, Mr Benjamin K. Gyasi has cleared the air on some speculations that student would be returning to school next month.

Schools have been closed down since the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus in the country.

But some speculations on some platforms indicate that schools would be back in full session from September which happens to be the first term and semester for all institutions in the country.

Mr Gyasi at an event stated that people should disregard information about school reopening adding that it’s false and not from the ministry.

He went on to say that the ministry and the minstry are yet to decide on when is the best time for students to return to school.

He said: “The ministry will like to state categorically that aside from final-year students who are in school, the public should disregard reports going round that all other students would go to school in September”
