Francis Van-Lare who is the father-in-law of late cardiologist Dr Ikenna Erinne has stated that he thanked God that the late doctor committed suicide and didn’t kill his daughter and grandchildren.
He made this statement after coming out to speak on behalf of her daughter identified as Suzzette Chibuogo while asking people to disregard the stories concerning his ex-son-in-law’s suicide.
It was reported that the late Ikenna Erinne had his licence as a Cardiologist revoked making things difficult for him in the United States before the court ordered him to pay $15,000 as child support.
According to Van-Lare, a public figure in Nigeria, Ikenna never got his license revoked as some people claim because he had a license to operate in Illinois, New York, Virginia, and Maryland.
He went on to say that, no court in the US could revoke his license from practising in all four states.
Speaking on the $15,000 child support, he disclosed that Ikenna Erinne and his daughter have a child with special needs and therefore require special treatment and that influenced the court decision.
Van-Lare added that he thanked God that the late Erinne shot himself and not his daughter and grandchildren.

“To set records straight. Dr Ikenna Erinne’s licence was never revoked. He has active licenses in Illinois, New York, Virginia, and Maryland so one state cannot revoke all licenses at once though none was revoked.
The child support was set that much because he has a physically challenged son needing special care from different medical facilities plus attending a special needs school that cost money and courts consider income of both parents before making decisions.
He is not a victim but failed his son and daughter now without their father. I just thank God he did not shoot my daughter and grand children in his madness.
Which sane person takes his own life over money he is supposed to use to support his children? He was asked to pay child support not alimony or spousal support as my daughter is self-sufficient.
May his soul rest in peace regardless. My family will raise the children without him regardless .”
